Lower Colorado at 17,000 cfs yesterday, and over 18,000 cfs today! A much needed flush which is great for the river habitat. Although these flows are huge, we don't have a lot of snow left. We will probably be fishing again in a couple weeks as the rivers drop and clear. Guide trips are booking up fast for late June and July - Give us a call to reserve your spot!!

Wade fishing is simply cheaper and much more accessible. For newer fishermen who don’t want to buy a boat just yet, wading is a super realistic way to get out on the water more consistently.

Coordinating days off with your friends can be tough. When it works out, it’s awesome – but it can be a real pain. Agreeing on which section to float, meeting times, etc. – all adds to the days logistics. Wade fishing can be nice because you can just wake up and go. No real plan, no agenda, just a day out on the water. For spontaneous fishing outings, wading is really a great option.

With floating, it is hard to get out for a short excursion. Even short floats can take 4 hours or more. Sometimes it is nice to just get out for a little while, especially when you have other things to do that day. Wade fishing allows this. Sometimes, we like to go for a quick 2 hour fish in the morning and then get off the water. Wade fishing is a great way to do this, while floating is not.
